Project Description:
Following inspection of the Bridge on Highway #17 over the old CNR track 5km east of Renfrew, the parapet walls on the North & South sides of the bridge were found to be corroding due to chloride contamination.

Project Solution:
The Ministry of Highways incorporated Galvashield® XP anodes in the rehabilitation of the parapet walls to prevent future corrosion problems. In addition, the anodes installed in the parapet walls may be monitored by the Ministry of Highways on a continual basis to evaluate their long-term performance.
