Project Description:
Long term exposure to de-icing salts caused severe corrosion of the reinforcing steel in the bridge deck.

Project Solution:
In order to ascertain the long-term performance of the Galvashield®XP, the MODOT specified that several of the anodes incorporated into the chip and patch repairs on the bridge deck be monitored to assess their effectiveness in the repaired areas.
