Parking Deck Rehabilitation Lombard Parking Garage

Project Description:
The post-tensioned concrete deck in the parking garage had become contaminated with chlorides from de-icing salts dripping off automobiles within the structure. As a result, the concrete deck was spalling and delaminating.

Project Solution:
The Galvashield® XP acts as a sacrificial anode and will corrode in preference to the reinforcing steel. The Galvashield® XP system was installed at this site to evaluate the long term benefits of this type of repair to the reinforcing steel in the deck.
