When should Galvashield anodes be presoaked before installation?

If sufficient moisture exists in the repair material, in most cases XP-type anodes used for corrosion prevention in patch repairs do not require pre-soaking. It is recommend to presoak CC-type anodes for 10 to 20 minutes prior to installation. This ensures that sufficient moisture remains in the grout (embedding mortar) for proper curing and a higher level of initial current from the anode is produced to aid in controlling corrosion.
